Our Story
The only use of knowledge of the past is to equip us for the present
After years of waiting, the National ASV Competition (KKCTBN) 2018 was held by Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi at the end of the year. Barunastra developed a new #roboboat, Nala Evo Mark III which was the third generation of the Nala Evo model with fresh technology.
KKCTBN 2018 was held in Sampang, Madura, from November 17th to November 20th. Our main challenge at that time was the environment. Usually, this competition is conducted on shallow water such as a lake or pond but it turns out that we faced something really different: windy shore flavored with small waves and hot weather. Definitely, a new challenge to be conquered.
Unfortunately, some bad things happened and our struggle became more difficult. Due to the conditions after the trial session, we took an urgent modification to our #roboboat. Unfortunately, the modification has unexpectedly brought a quite fatal mishap and made us unable to achieve our main goal.
Nonetheless, our team still brought the pride home with the Best Design title of #ASV category in KKCTBN 2018.
This experience would surely be thoroughly evaluated, as we believe that experience is the best teacher. We learned from our mistakes and converted them as our motivation to prepare better in the future.
